@pakman think they are gonna run a NZ-Wide poll about who to select.

Practising leg drive I see. Hope to actually see some in the game.

Are the two Sams telegraphing a pop pass close to the ruck?

That's what I am wondering? Thought it was Thursday NZ time

@Crucial I shock my head at this. Is this practicing deceptive passing so we fool the Boks next game?

Passing? What fresh new hell of a tactic is this thing you call passing?
Not seen much in the forwards loosies or at 10 or midfield so could have the element of surprise..

Looks to me like Ritchie will start. Hunch that Frizell will get 6.

In order to strengthen the forwards cohesion, why not try established combinations ? This means the Chiefs front row (Ross - Taukeiaho - Ta'avao with the Crusaders front row on the bench Bower - Taylor - Newell) + the Crusaders locks (Barrett - Whitelock with Va'ai on the bench) + the Blues loose forwards (Ioane - Papalii - Sotutu with Savea on the bench) ? It has zero chance to happen though.

He creates points though. Even if it is both ways.

Carry that through and you end up with 9-13 being Blues.

Why on earth would you claim Akira doesn't cut it when discussing Frizzell coming in? He got points as he was a fresh replacement able to keep up with the attack. In the last Irish test Akira created points out of strength and speed.

                            i get the idea but

The problems are not that they aren't used to playing together, it's that they aren't used to playing this way together. We're gonna have the same problems with different faces. You aren't picking the Blues loosies to play like the Blues loosies, you are picking 3 guys who play at the Blues to be the AB loosies.

Thing is though, with the way the team is going, are we even convinced of anyone? Bower was going from strength to strength and even he is now on a downward slide. Jordan is nowhere, despite him being the big showpiece last year. Scooter goes in fits and starts and doesn't know if he's a 6 or 4. Smith was in the top couple of HB's in the world last year, now he's just a hospital pass merchant. Beauden, the guy who's been world player of the year twice is reminiscent of Donald. The list goes on and on...

Taukieaho is showing his worth, but even he looks pretty average surrounded by no support.

6 runs for 15 metres and he was lauded….

Next we’ll be claiming moral victories when we have close losses.

The list goes on and on...

Taukieaho is showing his worth, but even he looks pretty average surrounded by no support.

6 runs for 15 metres and he was lauded….

Next we’ll be claiming moral victories when we have close losses.

Imagine how good the performance would have to be to achieve that.

Sadly I expect this to be the case. This might be my breaking point with this team. 😉

He creates points though. Even if it is both ways.
Some may not like the truth but Akira doesn’t cut it. Reaction time too slow at this level.

Why on earth would you claim Akira doesn't cut it when discussing Frizzell coming in? He got points as he was a fresh replacement able to keep up with the attack. In the last Irish test Akira created points out of strength and speed.

The first part of the post was obviously a joke (both ways)
The second a possible reason for looking elsewhere. There wasn’t much strength and speed in Akiras play on the weekend

He managed to make more metres and tackles than Scooter so once he gets the "look" down pat he'll be right. 😉
