@SBW1 Aumua was already at the Blues and Chiefs so he can work his way through the others. 🙂

We have ourselves a new highlanders first five!

I'm sure he can kick more than 15 m.

@Bovidae Are mid season poaches common?

    Aumua won't be leaving MP.

My point was that he was previously at two NZ franchises and not re-signed. Sure, Aumua is a better player now, but his development/potential wasn't considered good enough to be retained.

If we're honest with ourselves there's only two standouts so far; Roigard and Stevenson. Others are playing well, but not at a level that screams "pick me for the All Blacks".

@antipodean Injury will also force its hand, although they seem to manage the All Blacks fairly well by giving them rest time.

Lester F needs to back up that last game and he may be given another go. A player that can play midfield and wing is valuable in a RWC squad especially for minnow games.

He was so disappointing though in the AB's. Maybe SR is his level

I don't disagree based on evidence so far. But maybe he can force another crack?

How many times did they play Bridge after his injuries or Jordie on the wing? He looked like he had a case of nerves, Leceister might be worth another look.

Definitely. But unless he plays brilliant rugby game after game, I would leave him until next year. With maybe Robertson as his AB coach

yup. I'm not saying he is first in line either. I suspect we'll see some interesting new backline be it JJ or Razor (not sure who else is applying).

One of the few games in which McLeod didn't look out of his depth and he is being mentioned in the same breath as the ABs? He has got a long way to go.

@mikedogz He seems to have a really good kicking game which is not just box kicking. Hopefully he gets some gametime at 10 before the end of the season.
