    @Stargazer

He said he’s open to selecting overseas players. Then went on to say he was appointed to challenge norms and that he would present his ideas to the board.

He is arguing for a change to the rule, we just don’t know exactly what change he wants

@Stargazer no it’s not. He wants change. He’s not going to ‘challenge norms’ and make a presentation to the board about keeping the status quo

It'll take time but I think Dmac will become a very good international first-five. Shows glimpses of a great tactical kicking game.

Hello make a presentation to the board where her thinks the game is going, not to change the rules. Although he thinks we should her open minded about that.

I just checked the press conference vid. Those comments come from a single answer to a specific question about allowing overseas players.

Hopefully he was just speaking without thinking it through. If not, I hope the board tells him to fuck off

My feeling is that Razor will try to change eligibilty rules and get someone like Richie back for the All Blacks if that is the case he could indeed go on to be a great in the 10 jersey. The island nations will be stronger not only in this World Cup, also in the future.

IMHO, any AB coach thinking he can and needs to change eligibility rules to get a competitive team highlights both his ego and paucity of coaching abilities.

Focus on improving player development in NZ instead

All speculation that was put to bed by Mark Robinson a couple of days after it being bought up in an interview to Razor.
Robinson if my memory is correct was asked the same thing, and responded that was not something NZR were going to do going forward.
                    The status quo would continue.

But despite the partnership, NZ Rugby won't relax the overseas selection policy for All Blacks, which will remain in place.

Under the policy, players must reside and play in New Zealand, should they wish to be eligible for higher honours.

Incoming All Blacks coach Scott Robertson has previously stated he is keen to ditch the rule and would make that clear to NZR boss Mark Robinson.

His admission comes after Beauden Barrett, Brodie Retallick, Aaron Smith, Richie Mo'unga, and Shannon Frizell all signed contracts to play in Japan from next season.

Ardie Savea will also be ineligible for the All Blacks in 2024 after a one-year sabbatical to also play in Japan, as part of his new NZ Rugby contract.

But despite the incoming exodus of veteran players, Robinson has revealed there are no plans to change the existing rule.

The RWC top turned up for my daughter. The squiggly designs really suit the kids gear. She turns 11 this year but I bought size 9-10 and it fits perfectly. Just need to get tickets now but already half resigned to watching in fanzone, pub or bar.

@Billy-Tell yeah don't think I'm going to bother with attending games except for maybe minnows due to price. But might be keen to pop on the train to Lille to watch at a fanzone, you reminded me to check what's about in that regard.

Found this bloody neat site, whilst it doesn't mention if games will be shown it appears bloody useful at first glance (fan guides to all the "rugby villages").
