Maybe this is the opposite of the 2007 RWC campaign. Rather than over thinking it about whether individual players can get through three knockout games in a row, just get stuck in and fire up for each game at a time.

Injuries, attrition, and tiredness being factors that each team that makes the Final just has to deal with.

Really good point. Seen that in successful business teams where planning got screwed and they had to just stay focussed on the basics. Imagine the military do this every day.

Many of the leadership group are playing their last two tests in black, maybe they are trying to savour each day as if it was their last (which they are)

Aside from the pronunciation of Savea I really like the World feed main commentator (Rupert Cox?). He does a great job.

With all the moolah going around, why hasn't someone hired Andrew Cotter ?

I can imagine the outcry if BB or RM did a chip kick in the same situation and it didn't come off. I can see why Ireland didn't try one.

@MajorRage there were many Irish passes that looked a little forwards.

I agree it is a shit question, but he must have expected it. He cant disavow the sledge, so he should have owned up to it.

If he’d said ‘yeah, that one came back to bite me a bit, he was excellent today when it really counted for his team’ then I’d have a pretty different opinion of him. I imagine a Dane Coles or Gregan or Fitzpatrick would say something similar.

It’s fair that he might not have been in the right head space but perhaps that’s the point, he was happy to be a bully when we lost with quite a few things going against us.

@gt12 agree, that’s the more PR answer.

But hey, I prefer honesty over PR every day. At the time he thought it a bullshit question so said so.

              I respect that much more.

i've seen another angle of the Ioane/Sexton "incident" and that makes it look for all money like the first words come from the guy in green (when Iaone had moved on to shake the next guys hand), Ioane chirps back, and Sexton blows up.

It's all dumb shit and i wish people would stop talking about it

Obviously you have the Ardie steal, but that neck roll on JB! Barnes was definitely partying like it was 2007.

Despite this, and the two yellows from Barnes, the first of which should never have stood, we still prevailed.

                                Irish just weren't good enough.

I was shouting at the tv when that happened.

Ardie knew he had it and got robbed

Fletcher also getting neckrolled as Ardie went for the steal (which could have been penalised as no release by Ardie, but foul play overrules any other).

Agreed, we were silly to let them get back into it immediately st the kick off from 13-0.

It meant that had a toe hold straight away to bring it back to 10 points. We should have been ultra disciplined to let 13 points get into their head.

I hope that was called out and that we have learned what that could have meant in a knockout game.

The first yellow card was a shit call as it wasn’t a try scoring opportunity and they missed an obvious forward pass seconds earlier.

To be beaten by a side that had 2 yellow cards and you were never in front of the whole game, shows that you were actually well beaten.

Are will the Irish player bounce back? They’ll be fine.

Surely a better question is how will these three pundits regain any credibility after writing off the All Blacks in recent weeks?
