9 down over night, 100 for zip next morning. I'd doubt that could be beaten. Would be interesting to see if any have been worse.

Just pick a bowling machine for Southee at least you can ramp the pace up and it is accurate.

Draw this one, go to CHC, burgle it - and get the 1-0 victory. ANything but 2-0 is a loss for Australia to be frank ... so many WTC points riding on these 2 test series.

Southee's had to go for a while, but they made him Captain. WOR has bowled way better; we needed to be investing in others before today. I am quite frustrated at NZ Cricket right now

Is Southee being retained for his ‘experience’ on top of being captain ?

With Wags, Boult and KJ all gone for various reasons that seems the only logical explanation to me.

McGrath and Gillespie is still way more embarrassing but that was absolutely putrid this morning.

I'll be astounded if we score 500 runs total, so Aus only need 120 more to win
