When is the squad actually announced?
For some reason I thought it would have been announced by now.

Locks - Scott Barrett, Tupou Vaa'i, Sam Darry*, Isaia Walker-Leawere*
Loose forwards - Samipeni Finau, Ethan Blackadder, Dalton Papali'i, Peter Lakai*, Ardie Savea
Halfback - Cortez Ratima*, TJ Perenara, Finlay Christie
First Five - Damian McKenzie, Harry Plummer*, Beauden Barrett
Midfield - Jordie Barrett, Billy Proctor*, Anton Lienert-Brown, Rieko Ioane

@Mr-Fish I reckon all of that (your personal selection) will be pretty much on the money - it won't be right, but I'll be surprised if it is far away. Not much I would change and most would be almost coin flips.
I think George Bower will be picked if Numia isn't fit.
They might select an extra loose forward and one less lock - but, regardless, I'm expecting to see a few extras named to join the squad as cover. (I'm a bit surprised they're limiting themselves to a squad of 32, when 34 gives more complete coverage).
I'm also expecting quite a few of the wounded to spend a few days in camp to hear Razor's scene-setting presentations - seems like they're not calling players from the eliminated teams into an early camp?

Etene Nanai-Seturo - 10%Props/loose forwards comes down to which position they select six players in. Thinking like loose forward at the moment, given so many guys are putting their hands up. Someone like Finau could also double as a lock selection.
Sititi obviously played well this weekend but is he a better option than Sotutu? They're remarkably similar players - there might only be room for one.
Feels likely we'll see Perenara, Christie and Ratima as the halves. Roigard comes in for one of Perenara or Christie when he's fit and then ideally one of the other options will get a full run starting in Super Rugby next year.
Outside backs is tough. Reece, Tele'a, Clarke and Narawa all justify selection as wings. Do you select all four and go for just two first five options (Barrett and McKenzie) or bring someone like Plummer in? Maybe a straight shoot-out between Plummer and Love for a spot.
Proctor has done enough all season to justify selection as the fourth midfielder but was struggling towards the end of the game.

I thought he was one of the best Canes in the semi. Although he was a bit hurt towards the end

Initial reports from coach Clayton McMillan weren’t optimistic immediately after the game, and that tone stayed the same on Sunday afternoon as he confirmed the 30-test All Black had sustained an Achilles injury. “It looks like it’s going to be pretty serious, which is unfortunate not just for us but for him and probably his All Blacks prospects for the immediate future,” McMillan told Newstalk ZB’s Jason Pine.Most people have been guessing the same 3 hookers. Who should come in assuming ST is out?

Beauden Barrett played his first game of club rugby in 14 years for Coastal. Does anyone know if he came on to play First Five or Fullback?

I've no idea if the NRL rumours are true, but yeah, he hasn't played much. Thompson will be in the 23 next week and in the Māori squad too (with Eklund).
