CA have announced 3rd test will be in Sydney.
18 new community transmission cases today. There will be more, so this seems like an interesting move.
Yep. Investment banker, former NSW premier, and soon-to-be Cricket Australia board member Mike Baird was instrumental in ensuring the match stayed in Sydney. - SMH
You couldn't find a more stuffed suit. Should've stayed in Melbourne (or gone for a fast, bouncing deck in Perth - although India would never allow that).

@MN5 at this stage, yes.
Loved this bit:
Fast bowler Sean Abbott will also re-join the Test squad after recovering from a calf strain.
Good luck chuck.

@NTA any concerns over Pucovski's concussions?
Yes. No doubt the Indian attack will say nothing but he'll have a fair bit of short stuff directed his way

A late bid for hypocritically dumbest post of 2020?

@NTA dunno. Thought you were having a sook. Couldn't work out why you thought the Indians would say nothing. Thought you were smearing them again when they've got nothing to do with puckowski.
Figured that even a silverfern XI with Mariner opening the bowling (because he's tall and skinny) would try to bounce puckowski, it's that obvious. Still don't know why you brought the Indians into it

Uh.... because they're playing against India?
Did you and Mick From Gold Coast got into the sherry early for NYE or something?

The point is: they won't take it easy on Pucovski just because he's had (a few too many) blows to the head. He's an opening batsman in a Test so if he's out there, he's fair game.

I'd be bowling beamers at him. Not out of malice, just lack of skill.

No shit Sherlock.
So what's the relevance of them, or any team "saying nothing"?
Sorry to waste your time, captain obvious I thought you had something insightful to say. Telling Wags fans that short bowling is an option in test cricket

Anyway mate, nice to have one last stoush for the year and perhaps mine wins the dumbest post award then
- apologies for overestimating you again and happy New year mate (seriously

@Siam I'd go further and say I have genuine concerns for a guy that age with that history padding up. But we will see I guess.
-
Crowds for the SCG reduced from 50% capacity to 25% capacity.
Possible showers predicted for Thursday and Friday at Moore Park but mostly clear thereafter. So it might even go until Day 5!

India are also reportedly shitty about having to go into hard lockdown for the Gabba test.
However, a source in the Indian camp has reportedly expressed concern over the team being forced into a hard quarantine upon entry to Queensland, saying they would rather the final β and possibly deciding β Test be played elsewhere.
This was after five players reportedly broke the bubble in Melbourne:
A video of some Indian players, including Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant, sitting at a table in a Melbourne restaurant has been posted on the Twitter account of Navaldeep Singh.
