@chris-b said in All Blacks 2022: The problem with going to RWC with Jordie in the 12 jersey is that the Rugby Gods are definitely going to notice that Fozzie is playing fast and loose with the fullbacks at centre rule. He did play in midfield at school though

13 is centreWe are not Johnny Foreigner.

@stargazer said in All Blacks 2022: Has anybody read that article? Was Gower drunk when he suggested Julian Savea for the 12 jersey? He’d do better than David Havilli to be fair

@stargazer Gower didn't suggest Jules for the 12 jersey unless he wrote that article? reading between the lines he wants Savea in over Clarke, Bridge ect. I'd wager Gower wants Jordie at 12, Beaudy at 10 ,Perofeta at 15, Lord & Vai as the locks and Scott at 6 as the captain

@crazy-horse said in All Blacks 2022: While I don't necessarily disagree with this, but according to the Fern a first 15 AB team would arguably only have Whitelock, Jordan and possibly Reece from the Crusaders. Yet, they have been the bench mark as a team for the last few years and last night the Blues scraped home. Somebody must be doing something right. Coaching? A team being better than the sum of its parts? Have a look at NZ Super Rugby teams of the week for the last 18 months or so. Jordan & Reece are the only Crusaders regularly making it, with S.Barrett featuring on the occasion. In contrast there are typically 4-5 players from the Chiefs & Blues each, 3 or sometimes more from Hurricanes, usually 2 from the Highlanders & rarely more than that. I said similar the week that Chiefs outfit won in Chch, the only players I would choose from their 23 over their Blues counterparts are possibly Reece, Jordan, S.Barrett & maybe Codie over Eklund.

Heem over Havili? Hodgman over Moody? Robinson over Blackadder? AJ Lam over Fainga'anuku? Funaki over Drummond? Choat over Matera? Lay over Bower? Goodhue over Scott Barrett? Bridge and Sullivan you can't really compare I guess, you also have Barrett v Mo'unga which is even on paper at this level so I think you're exaggerating the truth just a wee bit.

All just peoples opinions isn't it.Come the Irish tests it will all be much the same with a couple of changes.
AB coaching groups don't normally rebuild this close to a WC,that usually comes after WC time then we see teams rebuilt for the next cycle.

You've assigned a position to everyone on the forum and are arguing against it. My xv would have more Crusaders, so I disagree with this consensus too? Who can I complain to? If you (or anyone else) wants to run an AB selection poll, I'll set up a subforum for it. That'll still be imperfect but it'd be something tangible
