@brodean I was just surprised to see Sotutu as medium and did a brief Google, which showed him as the same height and a couple of kilos lighter. Even Flanders was the same height, but significantly lighter (although I'd be very surprised if he's still only 108kg).

    Its more down to height.

Kieran Read and Liam Messam were about the same playing weight but 1.93cm and 1.88cm respectively which bizarrely put them as "big" and "medium" respectively

    They're the same height, David.

Don't say sorry to me. Say sorry to Messam.

Menonchello (sic) is giving the Irish midfield a hard time. Fantastic effort today.

Menoncello. He was the form centre in the Italian league playing for Benetton. Ran great lines and angles.

Very disappointing that Italy put themselves into a winning position and some poor decisions let them down. Their 3/4 line are superb.

@Victor-Meldrew I only bought a new ride on about 18 months back, but at the time I had looked at some robo-mowers and they seem to have improved remarkably since, and pricing come down too.

I know a guy who has a prototype Husqvarna robomower, and Husqvarna are monitoring its perfomance in NZ conditions, particularly on kaikuya grass.

This is one I been looking at and will seriously consider in another year or so, is priced at about 5k NZD

@Machpants and it blames the young rookie for the lineout issues. Also lists DMac and Perofeta amongst the losers... which despite the reasoning doesn't fit.

I thought the DMac/Perofeta “loser” choice was more about their dual playmaker thing and that Barret has maybe overtaken one of them? But certainly on an individual basis neither warranted that tag. Other than that though it seemed a rational article to me.

having this tournament where it is so easy and cheap for away supporters to travel makes me so envious. It's almost quicker (and significantly cheaper) for Scots supporters to fly to Rome than it is for me to fly to Brisbane FFS

Graham Thorpe's inquest is underway in the UK. A really sad story which seems to have been made worse by the ECB's handling of his sacking. Great batsman who deserved more.

Pretty grounded and humble interview in my opinion Steve. From both 🤷‍♂️

The respect between these two is so apparent and that's all down to Farrell. What a great coach he's been for Ireland.

I still haven't watched this game and don't know the score, but judging by the fact the thread doesn't have 800 posts, Italy didn't win.

@catogrande haven't read the article yet. Thought the Genge tactic made for a fun watch, certainly created confusion and like I said during the game - worked in isolation, looked great! But then you look at the rest of what was going on and it seemed pretty gimmicky and not well thought through - everything after Genge smashing it up and making a couple of yards was dysfunctional and/or disorganised.

@nta said in Solar Power - Help Needed:

@victor-meldrew have a read of this:

Microinverters Vs. String Inverters: Which Is Right For You? | EnergySage Microinverters Vs. String Inverters: Which Is Right For You? | EnergySage

Learn how the three major types of solar inverters stack up against one another, and which is right for your installation.

Micro Inverters aren't necessarily better than Power Optimisers - just depends on the engineering of the system as a whole.

So basically you have three differences in how the panels operate:

Basic string - where some or all panels are on one circuit that feeds back to the inverter. This is how they used to do it in the old days, when people were getting 6-8 panels on one roof space. The issue is if one panel stops performing (breakage, intermittent shade, etc) it affects the whole array. Once systems got bigger you'd have multiple strings and so on, or if you had panels in different orientation, or needed to balance voltage.

With optimisers or microinverters you don't need to worry about any of that - one or more panels get shaded, the rest just power on.

On the same technical wavelength as the designer now and system set-up pretty much sorted.

Once again thanks for the help.👍

@Kirwan it definitely feels good when you pick up the cadence and shorten stride. My physio also told me to focus on keeping my upper body straighter, down from the shoulders, like your shoulders were on a coat hanger. Feels less like you're lumbering along and more like you're running at pace - and damn the stats that say otherwise!!!

@victor-meldrew I met him at a reception following the Munster-Eagles game of 2008. What a solid guy. He held my baby boy for a picture and I found out after we got home that they shared the same birthday! All the best to him for a happy and healthy retirement.
