Even though he’s more of a lock, a guy that I’ve always wanted to see get a crack is Naitoa Ah Kuoi. I know he’s been around the environment aswell.

Are we only allowed to pick Chiefs players at 6? We've already tried 5 other Chiefs in the last year or so

Robertson does seem desperate to show he can unearth some sort of amazing unseen talent.

@Duluth Fair point haha, that didn’t even cross my mind when thinking about players. They’ve got 3 Chiefs loosies + Vaii as the hybrid , but left the best one in Bay Of Plenty playing NPC 😂 (maybe I’ll give the exception to Vaa’i)

Would people take John Mitchell back as head coach

    Funny as!

But you'd be right; he'd be a much better coach now than he was back then.

Lots and lots and lots of learnings.

    Not learnings, journeys....

Heard him talkin about legacy, England and winning the women's RWC25. Still sounded full of shit

A journey? Travelling by train or plane?

planes, trains, and alchos on wheels

The what amounted to giving up in the last 15 minutes is shocking Abs teams just don't do that, to quit the contest like that shows a real lack of care and commitment. And they did opt out some players just did not commit on the tackle at all.
I agree with Kieran Read something is not right within the group players and coaching to let that happen, no spine as Read said.
Some players need to go if that is what they want to dish up.
The Coaching well it looks totally in disarray with no clear path out of this mess.
The All Blacks are no longer what they were and I do not think its coming back damage maybe done.

If Read says that, there must be something serious.
Then again when I read an article quoting him ""The self-styled innovation leaders of the world game were blown off the park" this line (not by him) seemed a tad unfair.

I’d rather have 3 midgets than a guy that moves in slow motion.

Why not both?! You are in luck! We can pick a midget that "moves in slow motion"!

Sounding like a broken ankle for Noah Hotham. Ruled out for the rest of the rugby championship and potentially the end of year tour.

Who are the loosies that everyone actually wants? Cause all I see is complaining and the only name tossed around is Dalton.

I'd like to see Josh Beehre given a chance at 6. Simon Parker and Tupou Vaii are adequate and have potential. Hopefully one of those three will kick on, but I worry about the coaching.

Dalton Papalii is the best 7 in my opinion. Ardie can play there but needs to play closer to the ruck than he did on Saturday. Peter Lakai is a good reserve option at 7.

Lots of competition at Number 8: Ardie Savea, Wallace Sititi, Hoskins Sotutu , Christian Lio-Willie. All good players, but against the top opposition you probably can only have one of them on the field at a time.

I’d love Razor to just bite the bullet and chuck this backline out against the Wallabies (assuming Hotham is out injured again)

    1. Kyle Preston
    2. Ruben Love
    3. Leroy Carter
    4. Quinn Tupaea
    5. Leicester Fainga’anuku
    6. Will Jordan
    7. Jordie Barrett

Would like to see how Jordie would go at fullback.

Do people forget we saw how Jordie went as AB fullback? It wasn't good enough to keep him there. 😕

@Nepia largely yes...but i also felt it was about the hole we had at 12 and we had other options at 15, i cant help but think i would have loved to see more of his big boot

TBF, no point him having a big boot when the game plan is not to utilise it.

I've said all along i think Parker is a bit passive, needs an edge to his game, and obviously we need to utilise our players better (he ain't the kind of player you want to station wide) and use ones that compliment each other rather than throw the balance out.

Leicester was called into the squad a couple of weeks back as injury cover, then released, but I think he can only rejoin the squad through injury now?

I remember when NZ scribes wrote about the death of Bok rugby after the 57-0. Seems as if it is the Bok scribes turn now.

Growing pains aside, Boks are leaving the All Blacks behind | SuperSport

The words “We didn’t see that coming” were probably uttered over many parts of South Africa in the weekend hours that followed the final whistle in Wellington that signalled the Springboks’ biggest ever win over the All Blacks. And yet was it really that surprising?

    image.jpeg

Not sure you can really argue with the article right now. NZ rugby is in a real hole (of its own making).

Very true, but he still shouldn't have been getting picked over Dalton.

his efforts in teh republic beg to differ. Will admit he probably wasn't suited to Bledisloe rugby though, which is a completely different animal.

True that, he was very good against the boks. Not sure how a lack of pace would have gone in this last game

    Was he good though?

The last 4 games he played against the Boks we lost. In one game he got a yellow and a record loss at the time as captain.

In another he got a red card.
