FFS the LHW division is a mess now

Jones won't come back. The fans won't look at Cormier as the real champ. The UFC tried to pretend Manuwa was a contender and he got exposed. Rumble had a chance against Cormier and fucked it up, then retired..

Hopefully Gustafsson gets the next challenge and wins the belt

    What an idiot.

But possibly shows that Jones didn't feel he could beat DC clean.

    Ban him for life.

There are some good LH coming through.

I think what it shows is if you combine it with his weird T/E ratio a couple years ago and the inhibitor he was banned for last year, he's probably been on roids his entire career. It calls into question every fight he's won.

It'll be interesting to see what kind of ban he gets. The inhibitor he failed for last year was only a 1 year ban, whereas roids are two years and second time offenders are double that. So it'll depend on whether they consider this his first or second fail because they're two different drugs. If it's his first then he should get a 2 year ban but if it's his second, it'll be a 4 year ban. At 30 right now, he's snorted, crashed into and pissed hot the peak years of his career. What a fuckwit.

Oh and while I know they're waiting to see how things play out before doing anything, if they don't just give the belt straight back to DC and pretend that loss never happened, it'll be a complete joke. You can't lose a fight to someone who shouldn't have even been allowed in the octagon.

Surely they'd have to. The result gets overturned so you would hope the belt goes back. DC probably won't fight again this year so perhaps they'll also have an interim belt fight.

Considering the brutal nature of the knock out, could DC sue Jones?

Mark Hunt mate. He took the UFC to court for his fight with Brock Lesnar.

Jones ... positive second test. UFC must be red Rover for him.

              Ben Johnson moment.

                      UFC 119

                      Golm v Colombo
Impressive debut from Golm. Fast and tough. And skills to pay the bills

                      Figueiredo v Brooks
                      Bullshit hometown decision
Brooks' wrestling too good for Figueiredo

                      Dos Santos v Griffin
A barrage from Dos Santos in Round 1 and somehow Griffin survives
                      Steady Round 2
And a deserved unanimous decision for Dos Santos after some heavy bombs in Round 3

                      Dias v Gordon
Gordon's ground game too strong for Dias

                      Carlos Junior v Masrshman
Too easy for Carlos Junior as Marshman gives his back

                      Luque v Price
Luque faster, stronger and more precise

                      Lineker v Vera
                      Dominance from Lineker

                      Santos v Hermansson
Dynamic kicking and striking from Santos for a first round stoppage

                      Trinaldo v Miller
Tough, tough toe to toe with Trinaldo getting the decision

                      Munhoz v Font
                      Fantastic guillotine from Munhoz

                      Maia v Covington
                      Big win for Covington. Deserved.

                      Machida v Brunson
Wow. Machida in control and then Brunson turns out the lights. Maybe on his career

                      Big night next week 🙂

                          UFC 217

                          Zahabi v Ramos
If at first you don't succeed...
Great second attempt at spinning elbow from Ramos turns Zahabi's lights out

                          Oleinik v Blaydes
What a chin on Oleinik in Round 1
Then a controversial illegal kick that barely brushed Oleinik's ear in Round 2 caused confusion before Blaydes got the TKO after the ref called Oleinik couldn't continue

                          Brown v Gall
A war, back and forth, but Brown too strong

                          Saint Preux v Anderson
Tough, tough battle with Saint Preux tiring and down on the cards and then he pulls out a roundhouse kick to the head that puts Anderson out for the count
                          Wow

                          Harris v Godbeer
Godbeer spent most of the first round on his back but did a good job of covering up
Then Harris has an accidental low blow followed by a kick to the face after the ref called time twice
Harris DQd, Godbeer with the win. Not that he knew anything about it
Harris will come though. Fast, dynamic and tough. With skills

                          Vick v Duffy
Really good back and forth fight with Duffy ahead on the cards
Then Vick catches Duffy with a great uppercut for the ref to stop the fight just before the 2nd round buzzer

                          Hendricks v Costa
Costa too big, too quick, too skillful for Hendricks. But Hendricks durable and game. And experienced.
A pissed off Costa ups the pace in the second round and Big John McCarthy calls it after a Costa barrage

                          Thompson v Masvidal
Masvidal bamboozled by Thompson's speed and style

                          Jedrzejczyk v Namajunas
                          WOW
What a fight, what a finish from Namajunas
                          Accurate and punishing

                          Barbrandt v Dillishaw
                          WOW
                          So fast
                          Brilliant finish from TJ
                          Rematch please

                          Bisping v GSP
                          MSG, GSP, OMG

                          BEST CARD EVER

For me this was all about GSP. Just seeing him come to the ring was surreal. He was awesome. Bisping is a division gate keeper that somehow ended up champion. So theres got to be something said about that... I hope GSP sticks around. I think if he stays at middleweight Whittaker will ruin him. You could see Whittaker licking his lips after the fight. So would be happy to see him go back to Welterweight. But Woodley is a hell of a speed bump. It's not an easy road either way he goes.

Rose Namajunas was the obvious surprise of the night. Scary to think she is only 25. I have been a fan for a while. She started out as a bit of a gimmick. Another pretty girl, Paige Vanzant type. But she went away from being a poster girl, shaved her head, ditched the bikinis at weigh ins and became a fucken weapon. Huge, huge fan of Thug.

No Love really started to get it going but lost composure. Dillashaw is a hard puzzle to solve but I think he was more lucky than anything there has to be a rematch. I know the money is for a Cruz fight next up but I'd rather see these 2 go at it again.

Time for Hendricks to give it away.

                                UFC Fight Night 120

                                CLAY GUIDA V JOE LAUZON
                                Guida's never looked better
                                Sharp, dynamic and accurate
Great TKO finish in the 1st Round

                                RAPHAEL ASSUNCAO V MATTHEW LOPEZ
Game effort from Lopez but Assuncao' experience shone through
Awesome finish in the 3rd Round and great pull out with Lopez buckled and out cold
                                Great refereeing too

                                NATE MARQUARDT V CEZAR FERREIRA
                                Thought Marquardt had done enough

                                JUNIOR ALBINI V ANDREI ARLOVSKI
Some heavy hitting from both fighters in the 1st
Much the same in the 2nd. A bit of a stand-up wrestling match then trading punches. Hell of a chin on Albini and Arlovski crisper to the punch
Great round for Arlovski. Best he's been for ages. Huge variety in his arsenal
Albini was a perfect opponent. Slow
                                Deserved unanimous decision for Arlovski

                                BROWN V SANCHEZ
                                Did not disappoint
Brown took a liver shot early then elbowed Sanchez out as he was holding Sanchez's leg
                                Classic Brown

                                DUSTIN POIRIER V ANTHONY PETTIS
Awesome 1st Round. Wrestling, kicking, banging. Pettis did well to see the bell.
Wrestling reversals, brutal ground and pound, blood pissing from Pettis. A war
Poirier's wrestling too strong and Pettis taps with what looked like a popped rib

                                Great card

                                  LAUSA V SHELTON
                                  Shelton too strong and quick.

                                  CHAMBERS V KASSEM
Kassem patient and waited for Chambers to burn herself out to get the unanimouse decision

Not a great Early Prelim Card

                                  BROWN V CAMACHO
                                  Battle Royale
Toe to toe and rock 'em, sock 'em
Could have gone either way but Camacho gets the decision

                                  Bam Bam
Crushing leg kick floored Coulter and then he followed up with a flying knee to spark out Coulter

                                  LENTZ V BROOKS
Brooks sharper and quicker to the punch for 1 1/2 rounds then Lentz ties Brooks up an gets the tap from a guillotine

                                  BENOIT V MOKHTARIAN
A dance and Benoit with the better moves

                                  THEODOROU V KELLY
Another crap decision. Should have been split at least.
                                  Kelly was game

A gulf in class with Werdum with the deserved unanimous decision

@mikethesnow it was a great card and hugely enjoyed seeing Overeem get monstered. I was once a fan but since he got off the roids he's just a smug cnut that and his best clearly came out of a syringe or a bottle.

Holloway should be chasing McGregor. I think he'd win.

Alvarez is a warrior and I was happy to see him come out on top of an absolute war.

@mikethesnow it was a great card and hugely enjoyed seeing Overeem get monstered. I was once a fan but since he got off the roids he's just a smug cnut that and his best clearly came out of a syringe or a bottle.

Holloway should be chasing McGregor. I think he'd win.

                                        Agreed.

Gaethje will be back. Better for this loss.

Holloway v McGregor could be an all-time classic.

"[Dana] White knew then that GSP was ready to bounce back to welterweight, and a week after airing his druthers at the media gathering it’s all but official. The UFC is now flirting with the idea of having Luke Rockhold challenge Whittaker at UFC 221 in Perth, Australia, come February, in all likelihood for the undisputed (vacated) middleweight belt. GSP made the idea come off as a wise move by announcing that he was battling ulcerative colitis, an inflammation of the digestive tract that was complicated—he said during an interview with Canadian SportsCentre—by unnaturally gorging himself to make the higher weight. What kind of boss would willingly turn his best pound-for-pound fighter into a glutton?"
