So the team is named today right?

Does Hansen risk (his reputation) starting Cane and Rieko?

@Nepia why would Cane be a risk?

TBF, a few players like Crotty, Ioane and BFA, havent played for almost a month!

@Nepia still dont get how that is a risk...

We still want/need to win this game, so I expect they will roll out largely what they intended the final should we make it...with a 50 year record over Wales on the line, I dont htink there is room for nostalgic endings for the likes of Crotty & BFA!

You would assume Read, Crotty, SBW, Bender will be in the side as it is their last test for the AB's? You would then think some of the players that have not featured may get some minutes, Moli, Ioane, Weber, Coltman, Frizell. Then a dash of the top 15 who have a point to prove.

Or maybe Shag wants to put out the strongest side to ensure the win. I guess we sill see soon enough.

I hope (and expect) Hansen's first priority is to win. Marc Hinto picked this team to start - but, that tight five would worry me.

Beauden Barrett, Ben Smith, Ryan Crotty, Sonny Bill Williams, Rieko Ioane, Richie Mo'unga, TJ Perenara; Kieran Read (capt), Sam Cane, Shannon Frizell, Patrick Tuipulotu, Brodie Retallick, Angus Ta'avao, Dane Coles, Atu Moli.

Risk to Hansen's reputation ... not to the game.

Id be happy with that side, those players leaving deserve a fitting farewell.

Hopefully we revert to the tactics that we were playing v Ireland instead of the ones v England.

@chimoaus I'd be starting Moody and Laulala - Todd for Frizell (assuming Ardie is injured) and Aaron Smith. Ben Smith and possibly one of the midfielders on the bench.

Worst possible farewell would be to lose this game.

Trying to combine send offs, with giving squad a run and wanting a performance I'd like to see:

                                Moody/Coles/Laulala/BBBR/Barrett (S)/Cane(assuming Todd not 100%)/Frizell/Read/Weber/Mo'unga/SBW/Crotty/Ioane/Bender/BB with bench of Moli/Coltman/Ta'avao/Patty T/Todd/TJP/Goodhue/Bridge

The matchday 23 is as follows (Test caps in brackets):

                                  1. Joe Moody (44)

                                  2. Dane Coles (68)

                                  3. Nepo Laulala (24)

                                  4. Brodie Retallick (80)

They are determined to continue with the dual playmakers. I thought BFA might have started at fullback.

Yeah it certainly isn't a B team, not a tippity top team, but not far off. Be really interesting to see how Bender and Ioane go!

It also give some key people to get back in the saddle. Sadly we are missing 2019s best AB in Savea, but does give Frizzell a chance to look to the future surrounded by top players.
