i really won't. Mitchell and Foster are fucking Waikato through and through. We are just forced to coexist with them for half the year.

Nothing the current lad is doing screams next level.

He's relying on our two best contenders having never coached the Chiefs. But if Clayton's rise continues, I'm sure past posts can be quietly erased 🙂

Foster doesn't even make sense anymore. He seems detached from reality. I hope it is a front for the media for his sake.

To get a bigger payout on his contract by refusing to resign.

He'll be paid the same regardless. To the end of 2023. There's no way he can demand more, and precious few ways that NZR can pay less.

It's whether he is allowed near the team in that time or not.

                    Please don't.
There's one coach with a worse record at the Chiefs than Fosterand that's our mate Wazza.

Gats at the Chiefs may not have been a success, but I'd take him in a heartbeat over Foster. He knows how to win games at the top level, and gets teams up. You dno't get picked as a multi-Lions coach for nothing.

Given both his approach to the Chiefs role and his results, I'd like to see more of him back in the NZ environment first. Not a stance I'd normally take, but his Chiefs tenure left questions. While I'd also have Gatland as coach instead of Foster, thankfully it isn't a two-choice decision 🙂

i think maybe we just need to never hire a chiefs coach for the ABs ever again.

I noticed the Allblacks have shoe horned in a test against Japan on October 29th at short notice before the EOYT tour starts proper.

First thing that came into my mind is they wanted to give the new coach another match to gain momentum.

More likely to make up the earnings which the current shit-show is costing them.

The Japan game only allows a certain number of players to get into the right patterns, and under no pressure. A game of Possibles vs Probables would be both higher pressure and give more players a run. But not earn the same amount.

I'll be pleased to see the back of Holland. But who will replace him. Maybe Plumtree will return. Although I always prefer him as an assistant coach. Boyd is back so would be another option.

Gibbes did well enough as Wellington coach. Waikato coach Ross Filipo and Ieremia are 2 NPC coach options

If Crusaders coach Scott Robertson replaces Ian Foster as All Blacks coach, it's understood Leon MacDonald and Jason Holland will be among those recruited as his assistants.

@Winger Mr. Boyd has some sort of deal to assist the Highlanders.

Wait, we're calling a game against an at home Japan with coaches we could only dream of as a gimme? I would be seriously concerned.

All bets are off if Fozzie is still in charge. Unless the ABs come out playing with a game plan like the Crusaders this weekend

I don't think the rugby board will see it past, 3x coaches at saders, 1x canes, 1x blues, plus a new conditioning coach, mental skills coach, new team manager, etc, etc... to replace all the current contracted assistants/wider team management, that's why i'm leaning more towards the rumor mill. 1x new coach in, foster out, through till the world cup - far less mess, pay-outs for all current assistants... they will surely take the easy way out.
