@Tim Needs must, but yeah perhaps Vern Cotter or Warren Gatland or Milton Haig would be a better interim HC until or if Joe Schmidt is available.

What seems obvious to me is that Scott Robertson cannot continue as All Blacks Head Coach. We've reached the end of that road.

He looks a beaten docket to me.

You can imagine them all laughing and dancing to music when he walks into the changing room as opposed to the aura an Alex Ferguson would hold, where you would be afraid to even make eye contact.

Just had to post this. from the best sports comedy ever.

We live in an era where Anton Lienert-Brown has played 87 tests. He is just a slow slug. There is no accountability for coach favourites.

    Good lord he is shit.

2011 and 2015 happened because of lessons learned in 2007

I think 2011 happened because of lessons learned in 2009 and how we changed our gameplan in 2010.

2015 was because we largely had consistency and a core group throughout that 2012-2015 period.

@DaGrubster i agree with Snakey. When you look at the overall collection of talent in that 2007 squad, we were loaded. Injuries, disjointed play, rotation and no luck, we’re our downfall.

Yeah, we were our own worst enemies in that World cup.

We had an incredible squad but we conspired to not get our squad in the best shape it could be for that tournament.

And then our nemesis showed up in the wtr final

There needs to be a clear message from NZR to Scott Robertson and his pals on Monday morning.

@jimmyb I've never seen Jamie Joseph's sides give up which is definitely one up on Scott Robertson. We can't have an All Blacks coach who creates a culture where players stop playing for the jersey. He needs to go!

Completely agree. Anyone who thinks JJ is the answer is a fucking moron

The media in NZ are a major problem for the ABs.

    What on earth is this?

@Bones when and how do you bring them in given they are not all available?

I think so many of our problems stem from our inability to deal with the ball in the air, puts us under pressure in parts of the field that opposition want us to be playing, and add in how our scrum has struggled v SA, we are never gonna win the battle.

Razor said that they know how much SA value the aerial game and that we had been working hard there...evidence would suggest we haven't and dont value it enough.

Stuff.co.nz was pretty generous in its player ratings too.

Also think you only need to look at Jordie to see that something is amiss in the coaching group...guy was being lauded in the NH, looked like he had returned a better player early on v France but since has regressed back to large amounts of mediocrity, that fits in with those around him.

Because he’s a fucking fullback. Not a fucking centre.

We need a 10, but nz rugby with the double play maker role havent developed a proper 10 throughout our Super Rugby teams, the closet to a pocket 10 is Cameron, but he hasn't kicked on like he was supposed to.
Plummer was close in 24 with Cotters game plan.
We can't wait for Richie M and rely solely on him.

We don't value the ball, menstruation.

Reckless kicking combined with disinterested chase is our game plan. The fuck?

This is a big part of the problem. The Springbok pack was 20 kg bigger than New Zealand's and I imagine the backs also have a similar weight/size advantage.

The Springboks were always able to get yards after contact whereas the ABs could not get that same type of power. Over the course of 80 mins it must be so depleting being in collisions with people who are always (on average) bigger than you.

Matera off the back of the scrum in Argentina and Ezterhuizen today.

No sidestep was even considered. Full steam into McKenzie.

My prediction is there will be a couple of scapegoats at the end of the year - Hansen & Ellison.

Holland would have to be the most at risk as the backline isn't functioning. But if Hansen is the BB fanboy selector then he should go too.

Is Darry available for the next game? Would be an upgrade on the shit served up today.

I think Va’ai and Holland are the starting locks. Patty T (when fit) is the impact lock (and brings leadership off the bench). That is tough on Scott Barrett, but he needs to work himself back into form and being a starter.

Which means ABs need a new captain. And I’m not sure who that is. I don’t think it should be Savea, because again the coaches need to get the backrow balance right.

Cody Taylor maybe in the interim? When fit, he’s a certain starter. If not Taylor, then who? Because there aren’t many players in the squad that scream certain starter and inspirational leader 🤔

Tuipulotu and Holland have been the best combo this year. Vaai missed 5 tackles yesterday.
