Can we have Jordie kick plz

What is this fascination with Beaudie kicking? If Jordie is on the field use him. He's just better.

Jordie can’t replicate the tinny chip kick plays that Beauden does, where the ball bounces on its end and straight into his arms with the defence flat footed.

Then again, neither can Beauden since around 2018 😂

Tamiti Ellison is a bigger thief drawing a coaching salary for defence than he was drawing a salary as a Super rugby player.

Have to admire a man who is defense coach of the Crusaders in their worst season in years and then slides into the All Black job and concedes record amounts of points but receives very little scrutiny for either.

He is the invisible man when it comes to accountability.

His interviews are Scott Hansen esque too.

Kicking in general play, kicking from penalties or goal kicking? Agree that Jordie is better at all of them.

    Star Trek: Into Darkness:
Kirk: "Why would a Starfleet admiral ask a 300-year-old frozen man for help?"
    Khan: "Because I am better."
    Kirk: "At what?"
    Khan: "Everything."

Perth could be a bloodbath. At least it's a good city for egress.

Lakai had a decent cameo. He’s a better 7 than Savea overall. He just needs to work on his 1-2 clutch plays per game to usurp Savea 😂

Huh, I thought he was pretty meh, especially when he swanned off doing fuck all for the maul try. That was quite shithouse.

I still haven't seen anything from Lakai to get too excited about.
I think I'm coming to the conclusion that our loosies are just all a bit shit.

Beauden gun player in his prime but father time beats no one and it's a good opportunity to give Love and bring in Jacomb or Reihana into the squad a chance to play at 10. Obviously DMac will start next week but these blokes need to be tested at international level playing 10 at some point.

Agreed, apart from Father Time beating no one.

You reckon ? or has he just hit the wall ?

As others said, 31, for a forward is not that old.

I think SB still has a lot to offer. Has been a great forward. I think the captaincy is too heavy a burden.

Going back to the discussion around players in NZ that are similar to Read, I feel one guy that I thought would be the next Read is Devan Flanders.

    You suggesting a Hurricanes player.

    Well, fuck me!

As a Wellingtonian I hate to talk up Hawkes Bay players but to me he would be the most like Read if you compared size and his ball playing ability, aggression and physicality is where those comparisons fall short but he could get there if he had a good stretch without being injured. Playing very well for the Magpies this season.

Hugh Renton was another guy I thought could be the next K Read but probably didn’t reach the heights he could have for multiple reasons. Not even sure if he’s at the Highlanders for next season.

Should have been a penalty try under the sticks

And a yellow card. To Holland I think it was.

Easy decision for a referee based on the momentum they had.

Well I guess my point is they dont play like it

    They dont use their bulk

Might help if they ran onto the ball, rather than watching a giraffe attempt some "fast feet" to find a soft shoulder.

I thought the AB backs showed much more promise in this game than most of the season. Roigard was magnificent, Carter was great and Jordie and Dmac kept the Aussies busy AND got to the right place often.
Not so happy with the forwards. Loosies were pretty average, including Lakai. The odd impact moment from Ardie though.
I still see a few rough edges in the play of Holland and would prefer Vaai and Pat T starting and Scooter on the bench. Sititi Lomax, Procter and Beaudie all looked like they might need a rest next week.
We just lucky JOC made 3 bad kick errors and Aussie missing so many of their best players.
Anyways, great to see AB backs running hard on to the ball and with it, and much better use of passes to get guys into space.
