If you are gonna score a try, either walk back like it ain't no thing or get your celebration right, an embarrassing airshot like that has no place on a rugby field, NO PLACE I TELLS YA! Better off not scoring at all if you can't get it right after...sheesh, the embarrassment Not to mention people with no link to the Mako doing the "Fins up"! Begging for us to buy them!!! did he do a shark fin?

@Crucial said in All Blacks 2022: Surely the best option is to move Jordie there later in the game? we all say stuff like this a lot but what i don't like about this move is, you are making 2 changes with one sub. You break the rhythm of the midfield and the back 3 at the same time.

15 also has a good view of what's happening and can then exploit things that he sees.

23-Tupaea or GoodhueThat's quite a change from your usual Cantablacks, you must have misplaced your eye patch. Agree though, the only other backline I'd accept is Goodhue at 12 with Reece on the bench and Jordie/Jordan at 15/14.

@FakatavaFuture said in All Blacks 2022: @Dan54 wouldn't imagine rts would get a hit out for the Maori as he's Samoan Yep, well have never seen him or anything, so didn't know his genealogy, as I don't watch league so didn't even know who he was until he came to rugby.

@broughie said in All Blacks 2022: @Dan54 I think they are too risk adverse to start TVS. They will probably go with those who have started before including Tupea and Goodhue. With TVS he was knock out of the game against the chiefs because PGS was running down his throat. Still not convince with his size at second five although most of choices are shaded by Nonu or SBW size. I actually think Irish tests are when the odd risk will be taken, before RC?
I can't see JB at 12, surely be toss up between QT and RTS?
That comes with a caveat, that I know no more than anyone else on here so I could be miles off. But listening to those that are a lot closer to things than me, that seems to be suggestions.

Antway off top off head, and could well be miles of here is 23 for first test?
 Ethan de Groot

 Sam Cane

 Quinn Tupaea
 Reiko Ioane
 Will Jordan
 Jordie BarrettSamisoni Taukei'aho
 George Bower
 Ofa Tuunafasi
 Scott Barrett
 Luke Jacobson
 Brad Weber
 Richie Mounga
Jack GoodhueI say that with no confidence, and can see Papal'i on bench if he fit, maybe swap 2 and 16 and could have RTS on bench, QT covers 13 and Reiko wing?

@KiwiMurph said in All Blacks 2022: @Tim bugger - hopefully he can get a full preseason in for world cup season 2023. Yeah. His absence virtually guarantees Jacobsen a squad spot now.
-

Not that I think he’s in our top 6 loosies, but I hope Frizell gets selected just to see the melt down on here. Yes, that is the level of things If they persist with the Cane / Ardie 7-8 then I’d have Akira at 6 and Sotutu on the bench. That’s even with a fit Papali’i and Blackadder.

@Bones said in All Blacks 2022: It's less risky to pick a guy who was a below average 12 (and is still nothing special) than a guy who actually looks more than comfortable there. The logic Foster will probably use, is it's less risky to pick a guy with 19 caps at Test level (and I thought he was OK, though nothing special) than a guy with 0 caps and under 10 games at the level below and pit him against one of the better midfields in world rugby.

I'm just pointing out that, for the coaches, there is see some logic in having a utility who can cover much of the backline and is familiar with the environment for a key 1st Test.

Big blow: Crusaders and All Blacks star ruled out for rest of the year
